It's never too late to
make a difference

Having had the privilege of studying medicine in the hallowed environs of the Gandhi Medical College, Hyderabad, life has been kind to us. We have grown in stature, experience, and wisdom over the years. We contribute our bit in imparting quality healthcare to the American people grounded in the values of compassion, professionalism, and excellence in patient care. But we need to do more.

We are aware a quarter of the global population lives in India. There is a doctor for every 1000 patients in the country. Yet, quality healthcare is still elusive to most. India has only five beds per 10,000 people, and the ratio is far dismal for ICU beds. A country with the highest incidences worldwide of Diabetes, Heart Disease, Tuberculosis, and neonatal fatalities, we rank 155 in bed availability alone worldwide. Only 12 countries are worse off than India.

There is much that we can do, individually and collectively. Sponsor deserving students, mentor brilliant medical minds, motivate more students to take up the medical profession, share our knowledge & best practices, help open more super-specialty hospitals, and donate advanced equipment. We sure can do a lot.

GMCGA invites the alumni of Gandhi Medical College, Hyderabad, and its sister organizations to join hands with us and help give back to our alma mater and the society it supports so selflessly.
